Poltergeist Gin is one of Australia’s most awarded gins - winning Double Platinum two years in a row at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Despite this success, the original packaging did not reflect the premium nature of the product or distillery.

A completely bespoke bottle was designed, referencing ouija and blurred / ghostly figures felt in the periphery. The bottle shape - inspired by 19th century apothecary medicine bottles - employs fluted glass to obscure objects in and behind the bottle. A ouija board was embossed onto the shoulder and a wooden stopper designed to mimic a planchette. A minimalist typographic treatment was implemented for the label. Traditional in nature, yet clean and modern, it creates a perfect balance against the intricacy of the bottle.
